I deeply mourn Professor Chen Lin, who, as the general advisor of English Learning magazine, made tremendous contributions to the development of teacher guidance and basic foreign language education curriculum standards. Under the limited academic resources, Teacher Chen led a team to establish the basic concepts and methodological system of the curriculum standard. He made a low-key summary of the contribution of the curriculum standards in a magazine interview and expressed his expectations for revisions in the new era. Faced with the challenges of implementing the curriculum standards, Teacher Chen always calmly offers suggestions and encourages younger generations. His teachings and encouragement have had a profound impact on future generations, making us realize that the development of education requires going through various processes. Despite his advanced age, Teacher Chen still cares about the work of the magazine. Every time we meet, he will inquire in detail about topic selection and submission plans, showcase important newspapers, and convey the spirit of the central government. His kindness and expectations inspire us to continue striving for the inheritance and development of education. Mr. Chen's departure has given us an unprecedented sense of responsibility, and we will work even harder to live up to his expectations.
